Hobbies

I love how Southern Utah University has nurtured me with many educational experiences, in and out of the classroom. I will be receiving an Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science degree, from Southern Utah University. I have learned not only in the classroom but from experiences as a student leader, tutor and volunteer in the Iron County Schools, and Resident Assistant with SUU Housing. These opportunities to learn outside of the classroom have helped me develop patience and leadership. I am one who desires others to feel safe and respected. Because I respect others, I am confident others will offer their respect to me too. I take delight in helping others to develop, I can recognize potential, and give enough support so people will make the most of themselves. I do take joy in being with children and facilitating their learning. Witnessing a child learning brings me happiness. I am looking forward to working with children in my future career. Working with others, I take correction well and improve when asked to. I believe learning is a process and appreciate the moments when I grow from knowledge shared by others. I have a calming presence that helps others to feel comfortable to work around me. I have a good understanding of my emotions and am not quick to judge or anger. I am able to accept and appreciate people for who they are, and recognize their worth and potential.
