Tutored for 3 years within the SUU English Department--5 semesters as an ENGL 1000 tutor (workshop groups of 5-6 students), 3 semesters as a writing tutor (one-on-one tutoring). Also worked as a TA for the chair of the English department, which included recording essays, grading assignments, and standing in for the professor when needed. Served as editor-in-chief of the Kolob Canyon Review, the university literary magazine. Served as the chair for the SUU Scriblerian Essay contest, which was a contest designed for composition students. During my time as chair, the number of entries went from less than 20 to over 60. Tutoring is very satisfying for me. I like to impart my knowledge on others and I am extremely happy to discover that my tutoring has helped someone.
