Education
I am a current student at Southern Utah University with a 4.00 GPA. I'm considered a Freshman as it is my first year at school but have previous college credits from concurrent enrollment and AP classes in high school. I graduated Desert Hills High School in St. George City, UT, with a 3.9 GPA and have experience as a high school tutor. I'm currently studying a major in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Art.
Experience
I was a high school math tutor and peer tutor at my school. I've had experience with helping those with dyslexia, ADHD, and Asperger's syndrome. I obtained a composite score of 30 on the ACT with sub-scores being 32 in English, 29 in Mathematics, 32 in Reading, and 28 in Science. My writing score was 10 out of 12. I see tutoring as a learning opportunity for both me and the student. I enjoy teaching others and finding the best way to teach students. I've had experience tutoring many youth from different backgrounds including students with special needs. I've always enjoyed watching a student's progress and finding the best methods to help them succeed. In high school, I took AP courses in History, English and Literature, Psychology, and Calculus AB. I received a 4 or 5 on every test. I've also taken college physics classes, honors English courses, and advanced music classes (mainly orchestra and choir). I've participated in the Washington County Honor's Orchestra and was invited to be a Musical Ambassador of Utah which gives students the opportunity to tour and perform in Europe. I graduated as a high honor's student and a National Honor Society student. I was offered the Chief Manuelito Scholarship, a prestigious annual $7000 scholarship offered to qualified Navajo students. I also obtained the Presidential Multicultural Scholarship from SUU and currently attend as a student in the Honor's program.

Hobbies
I'm an easy going person who like every college student enjoys spending time with friends. I love music of all kinds ranging from classical to singer-songwriter. I am a hard-working student but on my days off, I enjoy outdoor recreation like hiking, biking, and skiing. The beauty of Southern Utah keeps me outside. I'm a book worm, too, and love to read. Percy Jackson and the Olympians is one of my favorite series as well as Fablehaven. I enjoy drawing and sketching and am currently taking an art class on line drawing. Hopefully, it will help me improve my drawing skills. Although I'm not the life of the party, I make friends easy and enjoy meeting all kinds of new people so traveling is always exciting.
