Graduated from Viewmont High School on the Honor Roll June, 2012. Attending Southern Utah University with intended major of Elementary Education.
Experience
I did tutoring for piano students for about 9 months and I taught swim lessons for children and adults at South Davis Recreation Center this past summer. I took five AP courses in high school: English Literature (5), English Language (4), Psychology (5), Drawing (4), Biology (3), and U.S. History (4). I have a composite score of 29 on the ACT, with a 31 in English, 34 in Reading, 26 in Science and a 24 in Math. I want to be a tutor because I love working with people, and I enjoy helping others build confidence in their ability to perform well in a certain subject. I'm also majoring in Education, and I think this would be a great experience for me to learn how to work with students and teach them in a way that they'll respond positively. I also feel like I really do have the ability to help someone do better in a given subject. I am a member of the Honors Program here at SUU.
