During play seasons at my school, kids would fall behind on their homework and/or be less attentive to the lessons taught. I would help them with my strong point--math-- and tutor them in whatever they needed help with. If I didn't know the answer, I would look it up and tell them the next day! I helped them pass tests, complete homework, and I ran drills. I even helped my school play director's son when he needed help with his math. She would pull me out of practice so I could help her son with his homework, because she knew I would work hard and practice at home so I wouldn't fall behind in rehearsals. I took the AP Calculus AB and BC tests and passed AB with a 4 and BC with a 3. I am highly qualified in mathematics and received a 30 on the Math portion of the ACT. I got a 28 cumulative score on the ACT. I enjoy helping kids learn and figure out for themselves that learning is fun and exciting. I help them learn that math is understandable, it just takes a special part of your brain to figure it out. If you haven't exercised that part of your brain a lot, then math can seem to be impossible! But it really isn't. I really love to teach, and after I complete my theater degree, I want to go back to school and possibly get a teaching degree.
