EducationSophomore Biology Major and Math Minor at Southern Utah University.
ExperienceI have helped my classmates and friends if they were struggling in a certain topic I was excelling in, but I have no formal tutoring experience.
My last ACT score was a 28 (overall).
My AP Calculus BC score was a 3; my AP English Language score was a 4; my AP English Literature score was a 5.
I've been in the position before where I've struggled to learn the material in various classes and had no one who could help me; I would like to share my knowledge and experience with those who need it so everybody will have a resource they can turn to.
I took college credits while in high school and accumulated 50 transfer credits by the time I graduated-- I've taken math classes up to Calculus 3, as well as Chemistry, Astronomy, Biotechnology, and Earth Systems as my science classes. I've also taken Honors English and AP English.
I'm fluent in both English and Spanish, and I'm extremely organized and responsible. I was a part of the National Honor Society and have received multiple awards, among them The American Citizenship Award (2012), The President's Education Award (2012), and the Freedom Leadership Award (2009).
HobbiesI'm an artist by nature, bashful by design. I love anything that has to do with nature and aesthetics. I love drawing, as well as creative writing (short stories, specifically), and I have a passion for music, especially rock and post-rock. I tend to be very light-hearted and easy going, able to adapt to fit the learning style of the person I'm teaching. I'm usually quiet and shy in the beginning, but tend to open up once I know and am comfortable with the people around me.
